我的天!! 难得看到这么一部环环相扣的作品，几乎每一件事情都是元理下的因果关系

所有下一幕的伏笔细节作者都写出来了，等着你自己去注意

真的好好看啊😭😭😭

本来我是在微信读书上被他的中文版封面吸引，第一次是听书的，但很显然，睡前听书没办法领略这本书的魅力，就搁置了一段时间。然后我开始真正看时，立即被书中作者的英式幽默给蛊惑。当下停止看中文版转而去找英文原版(当时这段期间我都是看英文书的mood)

颓废大叔+有实力+厌世+刀子嘴豆腐心 我还不吃爆！！！

火急火燎地在网上找了二手书版本（因为年代久远，真的不好找，找了很久才在两个地方找齐唯一的一套，而且还时两个版本的封面，一个版本的封面根本没办法在马来西亚以低价找齐 TTTTT 后来收到书被封面真的弄得不太甘心，第二天去仔细看中文版价钱，发现没有很贵（原本以为一本60多马币来着）就又淘了中文版一套）

而且原文也没让我失望，不会感到枯燥，而是完全体现了英式嘲讽的幽默。

本书采用三名主要角色的线性视角，几名角色的命运逐渐被元理聚拢在Perimadeia与城市纠缠在一起。即Bardas, Temrai, Alexius & Vetriz

 

Bardas Loredan

这本书以一位法律剑士——巴达斯·洛雷登的一次普通出庭拉开序幕。尽管法庭斗剑师赚得多（毕竟为陌生人的利益赌上性命），但他依旧落魄、成日酗酒，住在下城的最糟的“岛屿”7楼39号（类似廉价组屋Apartment）身边值几个钱的大约只有几把从赢了对手后继承的剑。

Bardas的职业很特别，也是这个系列的命名 —— 法律剑士。(Fencer-at-Law)法律剑士有些像律师，被告和原告双方都会雇佣一位法律剑士（律师），只要哪一位在法庭上战胜对方（致死），哪一方就赢得了那场官司。而且在这个世界，法庭案件还会有各种冗长的宣读、宣读案件、宣读誓言。甚至会卖门票让大众进来围观斗剑，甚至能下赌注。

实际上在故事里也没有特别说明这个职位和法律体系到底师如何构成的。它就是那么荒谬又理所当然的存在(我现在觉得这跟其中一个角色的呈现一样，他做的事情就是很荒谬，但他又显得如此理直气壮，像是他做的事都是无可奈何之下理所当然的选择)

Lilliptians are 12 times smaller than us but there are those 12 times smaller than them, and 12 times smaller again and so on. And the scale of being goes up from Swift's giants, as well. This Wellesian sequel to Gulliver's Travels is a unique piece of sci-fi literature.

这一本书还蛮难评的。很多年前因为阅读困难DNF了一次。这次重新看过。这本书的前期异常慢热。第一章节和第二章节分别是男主角和女主角的角色经历描写。共写了书的1/3(122pages)

实际上，男女主角的成长背景和后期为什么做出相对应的选择是有关联的。不过真的太长，很多华丽辞藻堆叠在一起的感觉。

如果觉得太慢热，推荐的阅读顺序会是 Chapter 1 > Chapter 3 (中间感兴趣时候可以看Chapter 2) > Chapter 2/Chapter 4
